Erratic control cooler fan on Zanussi ZCE7550w?

The control cooler fan on my 2 year old Zanussi ZCE7550w cooker starts fine when the grill is turned on but slows considerably after a couple of minutes causing the controls to heat up. The fan spins freely when inspected so I dont think that its bearing failure. There are two temperature control sensors located on the fan ducting.
Any ideas?

the cooling fan is on or off and the stats switch it on and off depending on the heat.they do not vary the voltage so for the fan to slow down it has to be the fan at fault unless the voltage is dropping in the whole supply to the cooker under load.if you can see the fan slowing down and the voltage is correct then i would think its the motor at fault
