I have removed the main pump and other items, there was a foreign body in the pump jamming it. I need now to put them all back. A Wiring diagram and or an exploded drawing of the componants would be very useful. I also notice a black pipe coming from a componant inside the dishwasher and goes no where is this correct. Also I have found a broken thermostat? that is attached to the underside of the dishwasher cabnet in line with the heating element, is it a thermostat?

This is correct, there are a couple of these pipes. the item on the bottom is a shut off if the washer overflows
