My washing machine door handle's plastic bit has just broken off, Indesit evolution 400. Looking at the coiled spring that remains embedded in the latch the two L shaped legs of the spring come off the top and bottom and both are heading to the right, as looked at. The end of each then do a brief turn up and down respectively. (The bottom's of the L) Hope this helps.
I just have to figure how to get the door open. Posting pictures would help.
