Differences between liquidisers for A700 and A900 series?

Can you tell me the difference between the liquidiser for the A700 series and the A900 series. I have an A700 series liquidiser and I bought another liquidiser - thinking that it was the same (for my sister) however the sprocket that turns the blades protrudes much further from the underneath meaning that it will not lock onto the mixer. Is this a liquidiser for an A900 or some other ? How can I tell ?

Coupling Conversion A900/KM series to A701/A707 series

This procedure must be undertaken by a suitably competent person, as it involves handling sharp blades.

The A701/A707 series liquidiser is no longer available, however, this can be overcome, either by adapting the coupling of the current A900/KM series liquidiser to fit A701/A707 liquidisers (models A788/A788G), or by converting a complete current liquidiser.

Use the two piece liquidiser base from either the A993A/A994A (interlock version) or the A993/A994 (non interlock version)

Please note: these bases are not interchangeable and must be used with the correct goblet goblet – see the website for full details

Remove the coupling assembly from blade hub assembly by:

covering the blades with a thickly folded cloth and holding steady, whilst at the same time turning the coupling assembly in a clockwise direction, using a suitable tool such as a large flat blade screwdriver

then cut down the coupling to measure 16mm from top to bottom, use a file to smooth the rough edges of the modified coupling

A788/A788G bases only
Please note: when fitting a modified coupling to an original A788/A788G base, reassemble using the shim washer only – do not refit the thick zinc washer
