I have a 2nd hand Citroen Xantia which I bought 2 days ago. Initially I thought the dirvers side elec window was completely broken as it would not open or close but I have now found it is fully operational as long as the door is about 1ft open. It opens and closes as expected from the single control panel on the drivers door but only when door is open?!?!

Any ideas?

just had the same problem with mine,drivers door open windows work shut the door nothing works,you need to take door panel off,disconect all electric connections in the door,then you need to slowly pull the harness from the inside of the car drivers side foot well through the door,look for the thick green wire this was the one that was broke on mine hope this helps

This is because the wire is breaking up as it goes from car to door ( by the hinge ) renew the wire will only need to replace a few inches, take fuse out before messing around wire the wire
