my mmc has a low connection, can I solder it?

My mmc is worn down from use in my phone. It no longer reads in card readers, and only reads in my phone when I apply pressure to that part of my phone. I think I can just solder the gold pins, but I am afraid that it may damage the information. I have little knowledge of this kind of repair, but if I give the gold pins more of a connection, as in the solder, it may have work in card readers and my phone again. Anyone have experience soldering the pins on an mmc?

Sounds like the card is damaged internally, they are fragile and will not tolerate any bending. The tiny connection from a chip leg to PCB will have come adrift and pressing makes the connection. I had a 4GB one do the same.
