when i turn on my air con in car the tempeture stays cool not cold?

my car is astra 20cdti 01 plate when i turn the controls to cold
the temp stays the same even when i turn on the air con but if i put it on hot it works fine it just wont go as cold as it should

Sounds like your ac comppressor is not engaging ...possible due to no freon charge or clutch failure on compressor or no belt

Hi!

Check first if there is the proper amount of gas in the system!

If your car has a separate belt for the compressor, make sure it's not broken.
