How can I reset the XM6 optima to cut elelctricity in the house?

How can I reset the XM6 optima to cut elelctricity in the house? I need to cut the electiric power down to repair the boiler but the Alarm system would not let me.. Thanks in advace for the answer.

Cut the power, the alarm will sound, enter the user code to silence.
If this doesnt work then change the battery.
