how do i remove corrupt files from jumpdrive?

while transfering files from my old computer to my new laptop using a 128 mb lexar jumdrive, my old cr*p computer froze up and i had to reboot. thus screwing up the partially transferred files. now they are all corrupt and i am unable to delete them from the jumpdrive through regular methods. i keep getting the error message "cannot read from the source file or disk." otherwise the jumpdrive works fine, just a lot of lost memory space. is there any hope, or is this space lost forever? thanks!

done
A. backing up your files and transferring it to your pc/any memory then format your usb or jumpdrive

B. if the files can be deleted, get the program called unlocker and unlock the data that protects it then delete it

You could possibly run chkdsk on the jump drive...

If all else fails, backup the good files somewhere, reformat the drive, then copy the good files back...

i figured it out. reformat the removable drive. since i didn't need to save or try to recover the files, i just reformated and tah dah!
