Can I re-stick the inner glass door of my built in oven?

I have an Ariston FS 41 GB single built in oven, and the inner glass has come from most of the oven door. I have had a company to look at it and they explained it would cost aprox £80 for new parts. Please could you advise me if it is possible to refix the glass (which is in good condition), I have come across a glass sealant for £11.99 which is heat proof, would this be appropriate? As the cost of the inner door is half the price of a complete new oven. Thanks very much.

Use High Temperature Resistant Silicone. Search on E-Bay for High Temperature Silicone. There is a full repair kit on currently for £4.99 + £1.40 p&p.

There is a heatproof silicone adhesive that can be purchased that will do the job.It is about £12.00 a tube and takes about 8 hours to dry.I bought a tube from my local electrical appliance store.Hope this helps.

yes you can refix the glass if you have a frame around it to stick it to but you have to use the correct sealant,if you ring screw fix they should have this sealant if you explain what it is for
