how to repair optima xl alarm?

on my optima xl alarm as soon as i enter the correct code the green day light goes off, the zone 1 red light comes on and the alarm starts ringing continuously. the ringing stops when i enter the same correct code again. how can i set the alarm to ring only after i have left the house and someone enters?

you need to obtain a engineers manual and check that zone 1 is programed correctly ie as an entry circit or you can also check if it is a tamper fault

depends on the fault but generaly its usally a circuit fault ie damadged or broken if you can tell me more info i can probaly diagnose the problem for you

sounds like zone 1 has a fault and is open, you could try omitting it manually until you get it sorted.
