Hi my 02 zafira headlights went so i took of the air filter to get to the bulbs when i put it back together it now judders at low speed its alright if you accelerate

can anyone tell me what might be wrong

I tried what you said and as I stripped down the air inlet piping i noticed a pipe which ran along the back of the MAf had come out of the engine this must have happened when I stretched the filter out of the way to gain access to the light. I pushed the tube back into place and the car is running fine again

thanks for your prompt reply it saved me a fortune because i would have taken it to a garage on sat if no one had replied and you know what garages are like I doubt they would have just charged for pushing the tube back in

I was looking for the same answer and found this on another website, sounds like it could help us both. Here it is...........................

I had this exact problem last year but it was also causing it to stall, and being an automatic was giving some right hassle. Anyway the problem is caused by dirt in and around the air intake on the top of the engine. I took mine into the dealer and paid £70 to get it sorted, but also watched the gut doing the job in case it happened again. All he did was remove all the air intake pipes and remove the top housing (not quite sure what you call it but it's the thing that has the butterfly valve in!!), then cleaned it all out with some carb cleaning fluid, he paid special attention to the little holes in and around the side of it making sure they were all clean. Anyway he put it all back together and it's been perfect since.
