Indesit DI 620 dishwasher?

Dishwasher turns on but doesnt seem to fill.
After about 1 minute there is a short bleep and number 1 light is seen to be flashing when door is opened.

Have you ever had it working properly i.e is it brand new

If you have No 1 light flashing normally it's because the filter is clogged with bits of food or possibly bits of plastic off the sealed dishwasher tablets. Also if its brand new it could still have some packing present left in the dishwasher.

However our problem was when the machine was brand new we couldn't get it to run longer than 1 minute. After trying everything we found a black plastic "top hat" seal in the end of the cold water inlet pipe that hadn't been removed by the installers when they installed the unit initially.

Had a similar fault with our DI620 where the machine had done a wash but then didn't seem to empty properly leaving water in the bottom. On the next wash wouldn't fill and the No 1 light came on and flashed. If the machine was tipped over and the water emptied out the machine would do another wash then the same fault occurred.
Couldn't find this 'light fault code' in the handbook so phoned Indesit who advised this indicated it was overfilling and we would need an engineer to call.
Called engineer who advised there was a leak which was dripping onto the wash/pump motor assembly and shorting it out - he replaced the motor and the machine worked.
Have to say we have had mixed feelings about the Customer Service of Indesit which has ranged from excellent to down right rude!!
Hope this helps.
