How to get my insinkerator started?

My disposal is humming,but not turning. What is the allen wrench for? I can't find the booklet that came with the model 6 years ago. Thanks, M.

Insert the wrench into the center of the bottom of the unit and try turning it. If something is jammed in the disposer, you may be able to break it up and get the grinder to turn freely.
