how can i repair my SMEG Model no. 42016 the over door does not seal properly

If it is that the door is always ajar then we have the same problem with our cooker (an A1.1). I am told that it is the spring tension on the hinges and that they need replacing. I am about to purchase a pair of hinges to see if the advice is correct.
