ho do i reset bios settings on a packard bell easynote?

my laptop wont boot atall files missing when i try to put my xp disk in my comp does not have enough memory to install? was told something to do with my bios settings

If it doesn't have enough memory for XP (at least 256MB and preferably 512MB) then BIOS settings won't help.
