Whwn i press ignition no sparks. My last cooker had a batterry underneath for this but i can't see a battery compartment underneath. Can anyone help me??? Thanks

my cannon chichester ignition stopped and also the gas in the lower oven didn't come at all. I was lighting the hob and the top oven with a flame. Evenutually I realised the oven is plugged in at the back and the fuse in the plug needed changing. It was as simple as that-now ignition on hob and both ovens works again.

I had the same problem with the ignition on my cooker. try this..... open the oven door and look at the bottom right corner (just on the outside of the rubber door seal. You may find a small black round plug which you can turn with a screwdriver. it will open up and the battery is inside.
