I have a AEG LAV 6955 washing machine that stopped half way through cycle?

My machine stopped half way through the cycle leaving a code of F9 on the machine and the overdosing light on. I have changed the brushes which has been suggested but to get rid of the code it tells me to hold down 2 buttons. My machine is around 10/12 years old and only has one of these buttons. Any other suggestions to remove the F9 from the digital display.

1. Make sure the machine is OFF
2. Press and hold in together the two first buttons at the top left buttons column while you turn the dial one step counterclockwise from OFF (one step to the left)
3. All indicator lights will turn on (LED test)
4. Release the buttons
5. Turn the dial back to OFF again
6. Now everything should be back to normal again
