Grand Voyager 3.3 1998 R reg Auto Transmission?

It had too much oil in from previous owner and box was making a whining noise inline with engine revs. Is there an easy fix or does box need overhaul.
Cheers

Hi too much oil would,nt do any damage at most it would blow the excess oil out of the breather.
If you have a whine which changes pitch with the engine revs it,s either going to be the pinion bearing or the planetry set.either of these will mean a full overhaul to be done properly.
