The kneader mounting shaft unit on my panasonic SD BT55P leaks?

The kneader mounting shaft unit on my panasonic SD BT55P leaks.
What is the best way to repair this or should I buy a new breadmaker?

I would LOVE to have your old, retired shaft assembly, if it's still available. How can I get it from you?

Here in Wales UK we need a new complete shaft unit too.

Is there a definitive answer yet as to its availability?

There are two possible sources of the leak.
One is around the O ring which seals between the mounting shaft unit and the bottom of the pan. It has an ID of about 24mm with a square cross section of about 1mm. I have a new on here which you can have if you cannot obtain a replacement locally.
The other possible leak is between the drive shaft itself and its rubber seal. If so a full replacement is necessary. I replaced the whole mounting shaft unit a few years ago. It was not leaking. The Matsushita part number is ADA13A101 with an alternate part Co. of 031 757 0075 2. I still have the old unit which you can have at no charge. This is the complete unit including the O ring etc I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada.
My unit is 15 years old and has made well over 2000 loaves.

Actually maybe you can still get the whole pan: http://www.vancebaldwin.com/products/?MSCADA12A101

according to http://www.spares2go.co.uk/browse/PANASONIC/SD-BT55P/BREADMAKER_SHAFT_UNIT/m153/p3216/s6212.htm, that part is no longer available. Do you know whether it is leaking through the shaft mounting, or around it? If it's just around it, you may be able to remove the shaft unit and then replace the seal between it and the pan.
