Where can I find 'People Lounger' Parts?

I have a People Lounger sectional with two recliners built in. The center recliner release handle has broken. Also the bracket that holds it in place is broke. I have not been able to find any where to order new parts.

I also have a sectional and both my recliners need the whole latch mechanism so I was told. I purchased it from Rooms To Go and of cource there not going to do anything they told me the company went out of business so if anyone knows of anywhere to get parts please post. thank you

Turn Over the couch and see if there is a label attached on the underside of the assembly if there is and it is by OMEGA MOTION you should be in luck they made some of the parts for people lounger. Good luck

Has any one had luck with finding the part? The little handle that releases/allows it to recline is broken on mine too. I called Rothman Furn. here in St. Louis and they said Peoplelounger was out of business? Are they really? Is there a place to get this part?

Try 800.458.7212. It is the # for United Furniture Industries who use some of the same manufactured parts on their furniture as People Lounger did (they are defunct). I was able to get rocker springs for my people lounger recliner through this company so maybe they can help you out.

Hi,

I used a 10/12 gauge solid (coated) copper wire of sufficient length that I wrapped up into the hole for the cable pull, ran out from the bottom of the recliner, up and over the back of the chair and wrapped it into the handle. So you can get the recliner to open, and since it won't be replaced, I don't care that it looks kinda whacky. It looks kinda like a parachute rip cord, but it works.... 8-)

Now my side has broken, so I have to do it for my side now.

I too have the same problem except my broken rip cord is the right lounger. I was told that People Lounger was bought by another company and was given customer service # 662-680-8959. Unfortunately, the # is dis-connected. Good luck to us all!!!

I have same problem the number I was given from Bob's Furniture has been disconnected. Further internet research has found that people loungers has gone out of busness. Now Bob's says that they can't get parts either.
