When i checked the filter as you suggested, i found that it was blocked and so i have changed it and so far it has been working fine. Thanks very much for your advice.

Have you found the filter that resides underneath the dust drum, under the plastic cover that few people know about? The cover prises off with a screwdriver, filter beneath.
