hi i slamed my laptop screen down and then wen i went to turn it on the white screen come up with the word acer and the it goes onto a dark screen when a little line in the top left of the screen it flases 3 times then goes and nothing eles happens what is wrong with my laptop???
That happened to me, you need to new hard drive, it's doing that because it can't find the OS.
Before you buy a new Hard Drive check it hasn't just came slid out of its slot.

i got an acer;had same prob.when white screen appears;quickly click bottom of screen to go into bios.scroll thru' menus to back-up disc;if u have one.if not;there's still trouble-shooting tips on there;but may take time to understand it all.

its broken! sounds like the hard drive has had it; have you made a back up disc?
