really bad knocking whem spinning?

have just move and reinstalled my hotpoint wma62 i have really bad knocking and the machine seems unstable. my husband has checked the stabilisers and they appear to be fine.

Aluminium spider corrodes after time. Bearing spins fine but as soon as fast spin kicks in, drum tries to escape from machine. One of the legs of spider has gone. Apparently to much fabric conditioner causes a scientific reaction. Beyond me.

Check for bearing failure by seeing if there is any vertical movement between the moving stainless drum and the fixed outer drum. There should be no vertical movement between them - if there is the bearings have failed.
