Freezer: Frigidaire

The night before the freezer started making a comparitively louder noise. i switched it off and when i switched it on agian, it dint seem to be working anymore. At the moment it switches on for a few seconds, then there is a click sound and it switches off again. This process keeps on repeating

sounds like compressor has got a fault.could be a faulty starter if your lucky but sounds more terminal with noise described
