Changed element on Bosch HBN7050GB built under oven?

Hi I have changed the element on my Bosch HBN7050GB oven, but it does still not work. It definitey blew. The fan works but the element does not get going. Does anybody know what else may have been at fault to cause the element to blow.

Success! I have fitted the thermal limiter and the oven now works normally.

OK, I think I've got the answer. Isolate supply at the consumer unit. Check that the oven clock is off. Remove the oven from its enclosure. There are 4 xhead screws. Pull and it will slide forward. Lift it clear.

Remove the rear cover. Looking at the fan unit you will see a small cream coloured component fitted at about 2 o'clock from the fan. There are two wires to it. This is a thermal protection unit. Mine was burned and testing supply to it with a multimeter showed that when the oven was turned on it had 240v. However, no voltage at the other side. Have ordered a replacement from uk whitegoods for £11.64 inc p+p. Fingers crossed it's the cure. Will report when it's fitted.

I am having the same problem. I've been told that the half-moon element surrounding the fan often blows because the fan is running too slowly and so the fan should also be replaced. However, my fan runs fast and I have connected a new element but it will not heat up. As everything else works on the cooker (top oven, lights, fan, etc) works normally.
