IN WINDOWS VISTA, I HAVE GOT THE SAME PROBLEM AND TRIED MANY OPTIONS INCLUDING THE ABOVE MENTIONED CHRIS OPTION, BUT CAN'T MOVE THE START BUTTON TO THE BOTTOM.

Anil ....... move your mouse pointer close to the start button until you see the cursor change to a two arrowhead cursor. Then hold the left mouse button while dragging the start bar to the bottom of the screen.
