I was sewing happily the suddenly for no apparent reason it stopped picking up the cotton from the bobbin, I have checked all the usual stuff, threading, tension, needle bobbin, can anyone help me?

Try a new needle, this is a classic problem if the needle has become blunt.

Hello Jackie,,
40 years in the trade but not heard of your make, if you have changed the needle and it is still not picking up the thread then you will need to retime it, I can attach full instructions if you e-mail me, too much information to type up for everyone.
