I get many "Internet Explorer" messages?

In addition to "about blank" I get "Cannot find server." It seems as though I have no Internet Explorer, although when I try to download it, I get a message like "there is a newer version already installed." Also, it seems that this problem has affected my AOL. When I sign on to AOL I can read my e-mail, but can never click on links (I get one of those "cannot find server" or "page cannot be displayed" messages. I'm very computer-challenged, but I feel that I may have some sort of virus. How do I repair this?

Don't use Internet Explorer but use Mozilla Firefox.
You will get 75% less trouble.
And its free, just download it and set it as the default browser.

Firstly, you haven`t said what version of windows you`re using, If its xp, go to add/remove programs in control panel and remove what shouldn`t be there.

Then, if possible, if you can get on the web, download these programs: Regvac, spybot, adaware and A-squared then instal and run these programs(any order will do) these should remove any spyware, malware and bad registry entries.

If you have problems getting these programs, let me know and I`ll get them to you..
