I need to replace alternator belt on 2001 ford transit i don`t know how to slacken pulley on alternator to fit new belt as this van only has two pullies ie. alternator and driveshaft pulley
If you buy a genuine Ford belt, it comes with a little tool which makes fitting easy. No need to turn engine and no need for any other tools

Dead easy with the correct tool, or it can be done by placing belt over crank pulley and half way over alternator and turning engine over by hand wilst guiding belt on.
