the retaining clip for the dipped bulb fell off whilst replacing the bulb the dealer said it needs a new headlight any ideas

The same thing happened to me, I took the one out of the other side, risky I know and made a new one from wire of the same thickness using this as a template andd bending it to the same shape, it is a bit tricky fitting it back on the offside light due to the confined space but take your time and it should bee OK, must have worked OK bacause it sailed through its MOT
