how to bypass my immboliser on my peugeot 306 TD?

every time i put inthe immboliser code and go to start the car it does nothing and the green and red lights stays on. is there any way i can bypass the immboliser.
the make of the car is peugeot 306 td 1996

Ribbon cable from keypad tends to give problems. Try gently wiggling the cable whilst entering the code.
