how to change an ignition barrel on a ford galaxy petrol?

can you tell me how to change an ignition barrel on a ford galaxy ive put in a new steering couloum and ignition barrel and it is turning over but not firing up

the problem is maybe not the ignition barrel, you should check for power at the ignition module - at the ignition coil. If the coil has power, check the distributor cap. It could be as simple as the ignition points are out of adjustment
