proform XP550s stuck in full incline with motor running and clicking?

My proform xp 550s started to incline the other day when I plugged it in and turned it on. I generally leave it unplugged so my toddler doesn't get it going. When I turned it on the incline went all the way up and the incline motor continued to run with clicks and clacks. Is there a reset function I can use or something I can do when I take the cover off? Any online versions of the users manual?
thanks

I had this happen and for me the solution was in the "User's Manual":

Problem: "The incline of the treadmill does not change correctly. "

Solution: "With the key in the console, press one of the incline buttons . After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. This will recalibrate the incline system."

It sounds like it can't find it starting point. Look on the inside of the hood for calibration instructions and try to calibrate it first
