baxi combi 80e?

hi, the safety thermostat fault led indicator is flashing which in result is not letting me get hot water, i can get warm water when the tap is open just slightly, is there an easy/quick fix for this? and was just wondering why it was flashing, thanks.

checking for continuity across the safety stat is part of the boilers sequence of operation. obviously it is what it is. if you reset and go back to sq1 then create a demand for heat it would give up if that stat is open circuit. constant open circuit suggests faulty stat. resetting then running a while and then locking out suggests different problem. possibly boiler not getting rid of its heat properly due to poor heat transfer etc??? hard to say when you aint there.
