Ford Mondeo Zetec: Water Ingress in both footwells?

The passenger footwell in my Ford Mondeo Zetec is gathering water, it looks as though its coming from behind the sponge and coming into the footwell and saturating the sponge. The driver's footwell is also getting damp. I have had the windscreen and seal checked but this seems o.k. The door and window seals also seem o.k. Has anyone got any ideas of how to fix please.

It is probably due to the pollen filter housing either falling to peices or becoming detached. It is located under the plastic trim immediatley in front of the windscreen on the passenger side. It isn't difficult to do yourself, but at the same time it wasn't expensive when I got the Ford main dealer to sort it out on mine as part of a main service.

Hope this helps
