How can i fix my oven Indesit FM20KCIXGB?

I HAVE REPLACED THE GRILL/TOP OVEN ELEMENT BUT THE GRILL WILL STILL NOT HEAT UP ENOUGH TO COOK. THE OVEN PART OF THE ELEMENT WORKS OKAY. (THE REPLACED ELEMENT PART NUMBER IS MER081591)
