My dyson dc07 has lost suction , but only when when floor cleaning?

My dyson animal dc07has lost suction to the floor cleaning section. The attachments hose is fine, and i can find no leaks or blockages, the brushes are spinning ok. any ideas. Thanks?

Dont know if this will help anyone, but I saw this on another page. If you empty out the canister and pull off the clear plastic, there should be like a little round area with a bunch of holes. They said take a metal brush and clean out the holes. I used a toothbrush, but a metal brush would work better most likely. I also cleaned everywhere I could reach with the tooth brush. I am not sure if it was cleaning the holes, though I did get a lot of dirt out, or the actual deep cleaning, but I have way better suction now. Try this and let me know how it worked out for you!

I am having the very same problem, interesting that many are complaining here but no answers yet...very disappointing. Mine is only 1 1/2 years old.DC07 Animal. Hose works great, floor suction, well, sucks.

Yes, I clean filter every vacuum and check all parts are not blocked. Ive even replaced filter but still have the problem of lost suction only when using it upright on floor. Ive followed the instructions on dyson.com.au for fixing but will need to have repairer look at it which is 400kms away.
Can anyone help us.

did you find out what was wrong? my dyson07 has lost suction too and I do not know what to do. i have had it for 3 years, doesn't seem long enough to have problems. nobody around town will fix these vaccums b/c they are from europe and cannot get parts for them. please let me know how you fixed yours. i don't want to spend more money on another one. thanks!

You may need to clean the lifetime filter. It needs cleaning around every 3 months.

Consult your instruction booklet on how to do this. I found that when this filter was filthy, I had no suction.

Has the plastic pipe leading from the bristles plate to the motor area become disconnected?
