Thermo couple?

Thanks John

How do they work and are they easy to replace?

The thermocouple looks like an elongated metal bulb - the end of which MUST play into the oven flame. Once it gets hot enough, after a couple of seconds, the flame should remain established as the tiny voltage that it has generated is recognised by the oven control switch. Replacement isn't difficult so long as you can access the end of the thermocouple (sometimes you have to buy the whole switch too) but I can't comment if a B&Q 'universal' thermocouple is what you need. Its probably best to talk to a spares supplier for a genuine replacement.
