thermocouplin?

where is the thermocouplin in an oven ?
hutton, March 2008
The THERMOCOUPLE plays into the main gas flame, and its there to turn the gas off if the flame is blown out, and keep it established when you are lighting up. The THERMOSTAT is either poking just into the oven cooking cavity or its on the outside of it. This device prevents the oven from overheating and it helps it maintain a constant temperature.
