Vauxhall Vectra: Please, how can I fix a boot lock, and rear door lock?

My boot lock seems to be broken, i can't open a boot, and by the way, the rear door is not responding to central locking...
Can you advice how to fix it (instruction), i want to fix it myself...
Thank you very much indeed

I have intermittant problems with the Vectra Boot Locking system.....this seems to be a common vault of Vauxhall Vectras. I push the left side of the lock with a screw driver or even the ignition key that usually releases it. But after that you have to be very careful with turning the lock, being precise.

i had this problem about 4 years ago.

Get the lock out and open it up. from memory there is an arm that moves over and gets jamed. If you add a a bit of rubber to act as a stop it stops it from jamming.

works for me.

for the boot lock climb into the boot and on the boot lid there is a fabric cover.there are 2 clips for the parcel shelf (torx screws)unscrew them. then using a flat head screwdriver of side cutters prise any plastic round clips out from boot cover(these are just push clips). Then carefully pull the cover away from boot lid. Then you will have two metal rods on boot catch one is for central locking solonoid the other is for the boot realease catch.First pull/push the rod for the central locking solonoid to unlock the boot. Then pull the other rod down and bobs your uncle your boots open now.Now check the connector for the boot solonoid to make sure it is secure. If all is ok you will need a d.v.m (multi-meter tester) get somebody else to lock and unlock your car while you test to see if you have 12v going to the solonoid if you have either solonoid is stuck or broken (they normally have a tendantcy to sick on the vectra's.
THE BOOT CATCH. these are a pain in the ass for not opening what you need to do is unclip the rod from the catch and adjust it(make it longer so it will work properly) the reason why you have to do this is because the catches wear over time and the linkage rod is not long enough to realese the catch when you push the button.Trust me i know this because i have had to do 4 now and it is starting to get boring now. cheers daniel

ive had a job in with this fault before and it was a connector fell out of the rear door lock. this will solve the boot lock. the locks run in a circuit around the vehicle
