The Water Container light won't go out on Whirlpool Condenser dryer?

My water container on my Whirlpool AWZ541 condenser dryer got full mid cycle and dryer stopped. I have emptied the water container, cleaned the filter and also the condenser unit, but still can't get it to come back on. If I switch it off at the power, the lights all go off, but as soon as I turn the timer dial the water container light comes back on.

I seem to remember that if the container filled up mid cycle you had to do something in a particular sequence, but I can't remember what and the instruction booklet says nothing about it. Perhaps it was on the instruction video which I was sad enough to watch but have now lost?!?!

Help!!!!

ok hello where is the pump???: I bought a German dryer. service #8575 005 03020 and another # 071340 000 933. I bought it in 2010. The water container was full to the top. I emptied it but the water light is still on. Oh I hate mechanical things. Please can you help me. My name is Alexandra H. Starnes.

turn the dial to pump mode, just before stop position, you should hear the pump kick in and the container should empty, mind you since this question was posted in september its probably evaporated by now

Empty the water container. Turn the programme selector knob to the line on the left of the emptying symbol, press start button. When the pump cycle has finished turn the knob to the position where it was when the cycle was interupted. This is taken from the instruction manual. Although no doubt you have got it sorted before now
