Why does my car keep stalling? Vauxhall Vectra 1997?

Vauxhall Vectra 1997

Whenever I drive my car - stopping at a traffic light or just stopping in general often my car will stall - whats wrong? Is it just the spark plugs need changing?

Thanks

You need a new idle control valve. Cleaning it is an temp solution and does not work on all cars. Try E-Bay. Type in idle control valve, look 4 LMF Vauxhall. @ present an ICV is £45.
Dealer is doing it 4 over £100. I did it this way and my vectra has been driving better than ever.. Good luck..

i think you have too much air and too little fuel going in to the pistons so the car will stall because there is little fuel getting in the burning chambers

remove your idle control valve which is situated below the mass air flow meter on the air intake. Once removed unscrew the two halves and clean them out thoroughly using only carb cleaner spray. then replace and hey presto your car will not stall again. You may need to perform this 5 min task every 6-8 months.

it could generally need a service, but from experience it could be a faulty idle control valve or that it needs cleaning!!!
