how can I free the rear centre seat belt on a ford mondeo 1997 Ghia 2.5?

We have a R reg Ford Mondeo 2.5 V6 in leather trim and the centre rear seat belt is locked tight.
The rear folding seat is fully engaged but the belt will not free itself when pulled.
Any advice

to have3 seatbelts in the rear you need a pillar support you have 2 rear pillars one either side (BUT the CENTER ONE is a LAPBELT ONLY) only adjustment is to LENGTHEN OR SHORTEN THE STRAP this buckle end fitting should not fit the 2 other belt clasps as they are a different size it was like this on my mondeo car.
