How can I fix my Aqualisa Aquastream shower?

I have an Aqualisa Aquastream shower that runs hot water for about 10 mins, sometimes less, then the water gets cold v quickly until it is freezing. We have to wait for about an hour before the shower has hot water again. What's going on?

The Aquastream is a power shower (not an electric shower) so it uses the hot water from your cylinder. It doesn't heat up your water, but pumps and delivers 10 or 18 litres of blended hot water a minute (depending on the setting) so in 10 minutes you are probably emptying your hot water cylinder, less if the hot water has been used for something else - like washing up. Then you have to wait for your cylinder to heat up again. The only solutions are shorter or cooler showers or upgrading to a bigger hot water cylinder. The only other option is to switch to an electric shower, which will heat cold water from the incoming mains - but you will probably sacrifice performance in terms of the force of the water unless you have really good water pressure and go for a very powerful shower like the Mira Sport 10.8 kw. Hope that helps.
