When I use my Hoover Hurricane 350, it does not pick anything up, instead, it spits it back out, being the cheeky little scamp that it is.

How do I fix it please? Or do I throw it in the dump, only to be picked up years later by someone who has a less healthy interest in the suction capabilities of this piece of **** than I do? :)
