Boiler pressure gauge is going up and down?

Hello,

I have a Potterton 240 Eco Combi Boiler
Can anyone give me any advice? I have had a few radiator leaks recently that have been fixed by the heating engineer but my pressure gauge swings between 1 and a half up over 2, this can happen over a few hrs, is this normal? or should it really be stable? It went up over 2 so I bled the radiators, only one needed bleeding and the gauge is still going up and down.
Could this be related to carbon monoxide problems in any way as I have been feeling nauseous with a sore throat recently ( could be the end of a cold) but a friend just advised of symptons.
Thanks for any help/advise you may have.

If you have any fears of carbon monoxide then you should get things checked. A detector is also advisable for any appliance. They relatively inexpensive but are the only things that will give you any warning (get an audible one!!!!)

System pressure guage on your boiler will rise as the heating circuit gets hot as the water expands. a rough example would be:

when the heating has not been on a while your pressure guage would read 1---1.5

then as the heating came on, and over the heating period the guage would prob rise to over 2 possibly up to 2.5
depending on what pressure is set at when cold.

1 cold to around 2 hot
1.5 cold to around 2.5 hot
