How can I get my 2004 Kia Rio doors to stay locked?

When the driver side lock is locked, all 4 locks will stay locked for 3 seconds and then unlock. When I used the key to lock the car, it did the same thing. No more than 3 locks will stay locked, when the 4th lock is set, they will all unlock.

This may sound silly, but make sure all doors ( including the boot or hatch ) are closed properly. open and close them all to be sure.

With central locking if a door isn't closed properly when activated all doors will unlock.
