Siemens Induction Hob EH77054EU - both left rings not working?

Hi, I have a Siemens EH77054EU induction hob which is about 6 years old and a while ago it went bang and stopped working on the left hand side. I have taken the top off and the fuse has blown on the power module and there is some blackening around some of the components. I assume it needs a power module at least and I do know if the rings still work as I didnt want to swap the rings in case it blew the working power module. A new power module is £273 on Siemens' parts site and I may end up needing rings at £62 each as well. I dont want to pay this as at that price I may as well get a new hob. What I am after is how to get hold of a damaged hob that I can buy for spares. It doesnt have to be the exact model number as the power module looks common to a number of Siemens / Neff / Bosch induction hobs from around that time. Grateful for any help or if anyone reading has a damaged similar hob they might want to sell or give me.

CHECK THE VOLTAGE RECTIFIER IN THE POWER MODULE. EACH BURNER HAS ITS OWN POWER MODULE
I HOPE THIS HELPS

Ring 4 is flashing when ring 1 is used.
20 sec. poweroff isn't working.
Fan for ring 3 and 4 isn't working.

When I use ring 4 alone, it is working for a few minutes.
I think the fan or regulator is the problem.
Is this easy to repair?

Hi,

I have the same fault on the same hob. The power module for the right hand rings was replaced under warranty a couple of years ago (and is still working). I am about to buy a new hob so will take a modest sum for the old one - please respond on this forum if you are interested.

Colin.
