Hi Alan
I have the same great vehicle as normal it is not too hard to work on most of the work is removing the plastic cowling round the indicator and light switch you may also have to remove the steering wheel unless you are able to ficddle the cowlings out
once you can see the switch take a look at the very bottom and you will find 2 sheer head bolts these are just what they say they are bolts that the heads snap off of when tight to stop people from just undoing them and steeling the car
There are 2 ways to remove these bolts one is to drill them out the other is to Knock the undone with a small chisle or old screwdriver you need to tap them in an anti clockwise direction or towards the drivers door side this can take some patience but onc you crack the initial tightness you can normaly get them the rest of the way by fingers or with a pair of grips
if you are buying a new switch it should come with new sheer head bolts or you can risk using ordinary bolt to replace the old ones
If you are hopeing to get a second hand lock you will need to do the same job to get the part out or try on line for a breaker who has already removed the part you pay a little more but it is worth it and it should have been tested
Make sure the seller supplies at least 1 key

Good luck the little old Micra is worth the effort mine has passed 7 MOTs without a failure and is now showing 147000 miles on the clock

Best Wishes I will look to see if you manage
Roger
